News

News is communication of new events or facts that have currently taken place or is now unfolding. These events or facts can be communicated or presented by word of mouth, print, internet or broadcast to others, whether one individual or a large audience.

News is information about recent and important events that is communicated by word of mouth, in a newspaper or news magazine, news bulletin, T.V. news, internet, phone or any other means.

Informal information of any kind that is not previously known to someone is considered news to them.

In the early history of news the act of gathering news was quite primitive by our methods and standards used today.

A reporter had to bring the printed news into the newsroom or it had to be phoned in and then it was typed and either transmitted from there over wire services or it was edited and manually set to type with any other news stories for a special edition.

Today thru satellite technology and the use of broadcast and cable news services current events are brought into the consumers' homes live as they are taking place.

Newspapers that once where the main source for news where printed in the morning and the afternoon of most of the large cities.

As the media evolved and news outlets increased the demand for newspapers dropped to the point that most all afternoon papers are no longer printed and many of the morning papers have been losing circulation and some have closed down.

Good news reporting is to aim for objectivity, where the reporter covers all sides of an issue without bias.

This is a great and honorable goal to achieve but is not often practiced in the real world where someone or some group often tries to use the media to advance their agenda or manipulate the people to accomplish something that is to their design or to hide the real truth.
